GREEN PRODUCTS
While still a specialty item due to cost, Sun is actively investigating new "Green" products that:
- are made from recycled products
- can be recycled after printing
- are biodegradable after printing in a landfill
In addition, we are exploring new "Green" inks that reduce the carbon footprint, are 100% V.O.C free, are soy-based, and are packaged with recycled buckets and labels.

- Recycled Foam PVC (Sintra, Komatex)
- Bio-degradable foamboard, both with paper-faced and polystryene-faced liners (Foamcore, Duraplast)
- Bio-PVC (Rigid Vinyl)
- Enviro Green Board (thick, rigid, clay-faced board for indoor signage)
- Bio-Board (thick, light-weight, for indoor signage)
- Eco Vinyl (pressure sensitive decal vinyl)
Government is leading the way on Green products, and the private sector is beginning to follow.
And finally, Sun is beginning to implement a recycling program with its key suppliers. All styrene and PVC off-cuts will be returned to the supplier for recycling. The excess "Green" inks will be returned to the manufacturer for recycling as well.
